Fell off the wagon (Ben)

Well… maybe not that bad… but this is an attempt at an entire lifestyle change, and it can’t happen overnight. I skipped the gym Friday and played snooze tag. My boss took us out Friday morning to IHOP. Even tho they offered unlimited pancakes, I opted for eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and sour dough bread. Hashbrowns really were the worst since I’m trying to avoid “bad” carbs. Still trying to get myself to a place where I make good decisions every time when it comes to food. I still need to be more conscious of cholesterol since I have the makings for high cholesterol, high triglycerides… and oh yeah, did I mention I have non-alcoholic fatty liver? So… yeah, I need to keep myself in check.

Saturday I could’ve went to the gym, but I wimped out. I need to break down and buy the weight set I’ve been eying at WalMart so I can at least get some good upper body workouts at home even when I do skip the gym. Also, today I completely bailed on my water intake.. and instead drank copious amounts of Mountain Dew at Skyline.

Tomorrow I need to get up and at least do some kind of exercise before heading out to church, and try to make a few good decisions, i.e. protein shake meal replacement and lots of good healthy snacks inbetween meals… because tomorrow is my son’s bday party…. so eating a piece of chocolate cake and icing with ice cream may be in my future. I guess as long as I apply proportion control, it won’t be awful.

So.. hopefully with Monday will come a whole new week, new start, new stories, and new goals met.
